I am naturally a nurturer. I love taking care of people. When I was younger, I thought I wanted to own a Bed & Breakfast so I could make a living hosting & entertaining. That never really came to fruition. I didn’t really pursue it. I followed the path I thought I was “supposed” to and got into management in Corporate America. I worked THE GRIND. Too many hours. Too much stress. But I didn’t know any better. And I wasn’t miserable, per se. I had good friends – who loved spending time at my place – so I kinda had what I wanted. And I loved coming home. Man, I loved coming home. Walking in the door after a long day or week, well, I LOVED the feeling my safe little sanctuary provided me.
What does that have to do with me now? Well, I didn’t fully realize it when I started my company that I do what I do (interior design) so that I can give other busy professionals that same feeling. Yes, I love creating beautiful spaces, but if they don’t give somebody that feeling of AAAAHHHH, it’s not quite the same. I LOVE hearing my clients say “I can’t wait to get home!” – not because they hate their jobs, but because their home is a place they can rest, relax and re-charge and then get back to doing what they do best the next day.
If you’re a busy professional who wants a space to come home and LOVE, give me a call and let’s design something that makes you go AAAHH.
