For those that don’t follow the color trends, Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color. It may sound silly, but in the design world, this is a major deal.
This year’s color is Marsala, a rich, dreamy, burgundy, plum, red that oozes elegance. The best part? It reminds me of wine!
Marsala is set to be trending in graphics, fashion and home décor in 2015. So if you’re not one to follow the color trends, now you are officially in the know.
Isn’t it fabulous?
Here are some cool and creative ways to use the color in your home this year:
1. Go BIG!

Are you an all-or-nothing type of person? Try using it as your primary paint color. Just make sure to add plenty of lighter tones or other colors to offset the deep, dark tones.
2. Leave ’em wanting more.

For a touch of drama, add splashes of Marsala to your neutral toned room. A few touches are all you’ll need to make a big impact.
3. Use it artistically.

Adding a piece of Marsala inspired art is incredibly hip, and can make a sans-color room become a stand-out one.
3. Add it to an existing color scheme.

Have other colors you’d like to incorporate with it? Marsala actually isn’t as limiting as one might think. You can mix a TON of different colors, even ones you may not have thought of like pink, lime green, and yellow.
