Have you heard of the Capsule Wardrobe trend? Even if you’re not hopping on that idea, a well organized closet can help your life feel a little less chaotic. Simply eliminating the clutter can do wonders for your closet. Every good organization project begins with pulling out and sorting what you want to keep, purge and donate. Once you have determined what is going to remain in your closet, it’s time to think about the best ways to maximize your space. For inspiration, here are a few items that I have found work well for me.

Invest in some nice, quality hangers to help extend the life of your clothes and keep them from falling on to the floor. I happen to love the sleek, space-saving Real Simple Slimline collection. The velvet covering holds your clothing compactly and securely in space, to help maximize your closet space.

Don’t forget about storage for your shoes and accessories. A good scarf organizer can keep your scarves organized and wrinkle free. Canvas shoe bags are flexible, fold up nicely and are a great way to keep your shoes compartmentalized or even store your handbags (which I personally use them for). Have you tried adjustable boot shapers? I love that I can hang my boots, they keep their shape and they work for all types and styles of boots.

Expandable, drawer organizers give you flexible, customized organization. They are great for keeping items separated, neat and in their place.
