I love the holiday season. I love interior decorating. And I love giving gifts. So I thought why not create a quick list for you that combines all three? Just in case you’re looking for living room ideas for yourself or ideas to share with your loved ones, you can wrap up and put a bow on and take full credit for the design genius. I have made selections that are available to you via retail options, rather than the To-The-Trade selections (but can happily help you with those as well – just give me a call!).
An Interior Designer’s Gift Guide to Christmas
(Click the photo for the links.)
1. I love a good bar cart. It is a sophisticated addition to a living room or dining room. I love the type with wheels because then it can add sophistication virtually anywhere. This Olivia Bar Cart from Ballard Designs really turns me on. And at $359 it is a steal.
2. This Snowy Luxe Winter Throw is a cozy addition to any living room or den sofa – or even tossed on the bed for an inviting nap. The people at Olive & Cocoa know how to make gift giving easy with this $99 option.
3. Pillows are a fun way to add character to a space. You can place them on a couch, chair or bed. My pillows are almost all interchangeable, meaning that what is in my living room will look good in my bedroom if I want to mix things up quickly. I especially like this Surya pillow in turquoise and taupe.
Finally, even though it’s not specifically “home” related, but just because it’s so awesome. Origins Ginger Souffle is a delicious delight to the senses. My mother-in-law introduced this to me the first Christmas we spent together, and I have had some in my house ever since.
These are just a few of my favorite gifts that I have given (or wouldn’t mind receiving – hint hint – that bar cart). For more of my favorite gifts and ideas check out my pin-board HERE.
