Its hard to keep up with the constant change in activities as seasons come and go, so we have highlighted the top deals and events around the city as we get closer to the holidays. Good thing we are not all still on our New Year’s diets, because we have found that most Fall activities in the Dallas area revolve around food and drink. So get hungry folks, its that time of the year!
Below are a list of Fall events and food related activities to partake in around the city as we get closer to the Holidays. Interested in finding out more details? Click through the image to see more!
Fun Filled Activities
Located in Highland Park Village on the third Saturday of each month (October 21st), LOCAL is a seasonal neighborhood market featuring Dallas-Fort Worth’s favorite vendors, farm-sourced produce, games and entertainment. Guests can also purchase LOCAL merchandise to take home as a memento. Added bonus!
2. Texas State Fair
Running from September 29- October 22, the Texas State Fair is a must see in the Dallas Area (as we all know, but we thought we would remind you)! From deep fried cookie dough and corndogs (our favorite!), to carnival rides, to wine tastings, there is something for everyone. We have connected the link to help you find the best deals and days to take your friends and family! Just click on the picture to see!
3. The Dallas Arboretum
The Arboretum will always be on our list of must see’s, but Autumn at the Arboretum has defiantly created a name for itself! It has been named one of the most breathtaking gardens by Architectural Digest and we couldn’t agree more. Running from September 23 – November 22, you can experience the pumpkin village which displays over 90,000 pumpkins for only $15 (general admission). They also have events throughout the month. Follow the link through the image to find out more!
4. Fall Cooking Classes at Sur la Table
Sur la Table is offering Fall themed cooking classes throughout the month of October! Classes such as “Luscious Fall Macarons,” “Perfect Fall Pies,” “Fall Desserts Every Cook Should Know,” and ” Spooktacular Halloween Treats for Kids.” Classes are limited so sign up before they run out of room!
Places to Eat
Joy Macaron not only just opened up a brand new location in the Fort Worth Area, but they also just released their Fall flavors of Pumpkin Fluff and Brownie. Pick up one of these purple or orange bites while you are out on the town!
Want to enjoy the hopefully, cool weather of Fall without worrying about getting cold? Head to HG Supply’s rooftop where you can enjoy a view of the skyline sitting fire side while sipping a cup of hot cider. Didn’t get there early enough to grab a seat next to one of their many fire pits? No need to worry! They have heaters set up around the entire patio. Fall doesn’t get better than this y’all!
3. Park & Palate
Park & Palate runs from October 13 – 14 and is hosted at Klyde Warren Park. Admission is $75 but your money not only gives you a taste of some of Dallas’ finest food and drink, but the proceeds also go back into the park so we can continue to enjoy the free amenities of the park throughout the rest of the year! Its a win-win in our eyes!
