Citrus colors are such fun to decorate with. They make a big statement in small quantities – and coordinate with almost any backdrop. I love using a citrus color accessory with a neutral piece of furniture.
The combination below was installed in a Dallas area apartment complex community room. The main accent color in this design was blue, but a pop of citrus really helps bring the design to life.

Sofa Pillow in Citron
Orange is a great alternative to the once popular red accent color. We love this orange and turquoise pillow with fabric from Fabricut that we customized and placed in four chairs in this formal living room for a beautiful pop of color.

Turquoise & Orange
I love the yellow & white colored bedding in this master bedroom below, especially on the dark bed frame. It has a tinge of a green undertone, making it more mature and less lemon-kitchen-yellow.

But don’t limit yourself to citrus accents or accessories only. This gorgeous mid-century modern chair is beautiful upholstered in a bold yellow orange color.

Citrus Seating
You can also use citrus accents in other rooms. This is a custom shower curtain that really makes a beautiful statement in this Park Cities bathroom. The fabric has turquoise and chartreuse colors that bring a bit of color to the otherwise serene bathroom.

And this happy little pop of yellow was selected specifically to brighten up the counter of a very neutral model unit in an apartment in Dallas.

Bathroom Accessories
I have quite a bit of lime green, chartreuse, citrine and lemon yellow in my Dallas Interior Design studio. This is my current coffee table centerpiece(s). Cute shoes too, huh? Pink & green isn’t for nerds.
