New Year’s Eve is next week. Who’s ready to party?! Personally, I love this end of year tradition. It gives me a chance to not only spend the evening with friends and family, but also reflect on the past year and look forward to what’s to come in the new year! This year, the Michelle Lynne Interiors Group moved into our new location in Addison. While the move was an obvious transition, we absolutely love our new digs and are thankful to be ending the year on a successful note. Now back to the celebration….Whether you are hosting a big soiree or having a few friends over for a more intimate affair, how you decorate for your party can have an impact on the evening. So, in order to help you throw a NYE party to remember, here are a few DIY decorating ideas.
Let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good photo op?! Add some fun into the mix with some festive NYE photo props. Here are some easy instructions to help you create these sure fire fun photo accessories.
For a great backdrop for your photo booth, or simply to dazzle your guests, add some festive paper fringe! They add a nice pop of color to the room. You can find instructions on how to make these, here.
MAKE IT SHIMMER
Provide a little extra glitz and glamour by adding some glitter into the mix. You can sprinkle glitter on champagne bottles, drinking glasses and more. Get creative! Another fun way to make is shine, is to create some sparkly candle holders by adding some glitter both in & outside of some small vases or mason jars.
Add a unique twist to your countdown, by toasting with champagne in glasses numbered in anticipation of the final 10 seconds before the new year arrives. You can find these numbers in art/office supply stores. Simply peel and stick.
Make sure that all of your guests end the year with a midnight kiss with these fun party favors. Muah!
