As we roll deeper into the holiday season, many people tend to start feeling worn out and maybe a little over taxed. Time is spent shopping, wrapping, visiting family, eating, shopping some more, and then some.
It’s Monday. Are you needing a little motivation today?
It is a great time to remind ourselves that what we think, we attract. Sound a little “woo woo” to some of you? Maybe so – but it is what professional athletes do. Professional basketball players envision making successful free throws over and over, even while they are not on the court. Olympic athletes envision themselves on the podium with the gold medal around their neck, and so forth. Even if it does sound a little “woo woo” to you, what harm can it do?
Speaking of gold hanging around your neck, look at this cute “law of attraction” necklace on Etsy. Unfortunately it isn’t available anymore, but HERE are some others if you’re feeling inspired. But I digress (shiny things do that to me). In any or all areas of your life, why not ask for the moon? Believe it’s possible. And then receive what shows up in the form of abundance. I don’t know who originally said it, but haven’t you heard the saying “shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll hit a star”?
I have had the pleasure of instructing many students working at getting into the home staging industry, speaking at various Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) events, including their international and regional conferences and over and over I heard people question the deserving of their success. Why? It IS okay for us all to have everything we want. Granted, I’m not talking about gluttonous living, but understanding that we are ALL worthy of success in whatever form it takes for each individual. Many times our own “stinking thinking” will get in our own way. Does that sound familiar?
Instead of thinking you don’t deserve everything, start repeating a mantra that AFFIRMS you. Whether it be your health or wealth, positive thoughts create positive results.
As I mentioned in the opening of this post, this is the time of year when many of us feel stretched to the point of breaking. Stop for a moment and re-frame the situation. Have lots of social obligations? “I am fortunate to be surrounded by people who care about me.” Feel like you’re spending all of your money on gifts? “I am full of wealth.” I am NOT saying that a bucket full of cash is going to land at your front door with such a thought. BUT what if it did?
So try thinking positive affirmations and see what flows into your life. What could it hurt? And let me know in the comments below what sort of results you get. Or if you’re somebody who already believes this “woo woo” and has a good example, I would love to hear it!
