Wow. Just wow. I cannot believe it is September and I’m just now finished with the details of our new design studio. The last update was in February while I was waiting on my custom storage to be delivered.
Granted, I was Missing In Action for about 6 months, and a lot happened, but today I have snapshots of the studio as it looks now.
Remember those gold display shelves from THIS post? They are now happily installed and styled.
They live happily in the “living room” at the front of the studio. Gaze to the right of the photo and you can see our custom desks that were featured in THIS post.
And since we are touching on the custom furniture, let’s reference those awesome screens as they are now. If you were to walk in the door, these screens separate the entrance from the workspace.
And immediately to your right as you enter, and directly across the room from the fancy gold shelves we have our entry table.
Oh, and the curtains in the front of the space? To. Die. For. I literally just had those installed within the last 2 weeks. They are a Fabricut product cut specifically for our ginormous windows. They have a gold and silver wave that looks good on both sides!
Okay, so everything in the front of the space is pretty. Now, let’s get into our work space. It had to maintain the flow of being pretty – and since we are known for our “glamorously functional” designs, the back of the studio is gorgeous while being highly functional for us busy gals! Say hi to Megan:
On either side of the entrance into the kitchen, we have storage hidden behind the mirrored cabinet doors next to the wall. Cabinets below them. 5′ shelves with matching drawers below them. Across the top is storage waiting to be filled, and the ladder is there for us to reach!
You can see in the photo above, there are doors that slide closed and through that entrance is the kitchen.
The space is large enough we haven’t used all of the built in storage (yet). We have a 42″ little dining table for the times you want to get away but not get out. Or informal meetings for coffee. I forgot to take a photo of our pull out coffee station that is tucked into one of the doors, but it’s ideal for those morning meetings – and much less crowded than Starbucks!
And can I tell you how much I still swoon over our upholstered door? This leads into the restroom, but is so sexy I really can’t wait to create something similar leading into a client’s master bedroom.
And finally, yes, a photo of the restroom. But I cracked myself up placing this art in here. Do you get it? It is a King + Queen (Royalty) “on the throne” – which, you’re welcome, I did not take a full photo of. Gotta keep this blog classy, right?
So what do you think? I’ll have professional photos and / or a video soon, but did not want to wait any longer now that I’m back in the blogosphere. Hope you enjoyed the tour!
