Interiors That Positively Impact Your Emotional Wellbeing

Have you been wanting to give your home a refresh but not sure where to start or what makes the biggest impact on your emotional wellbeing? My friend, there is no better time than right now to improve your home (and mood) since we are all spending a little more time inside these days. There are a few things you can do to make the spring-cleaning list easier and help create an environment you feel at peace in and your best self.

Organized Interiors Promotes Your Emotional Wellbeing

So, what might you ask, helps make the spring-cleaning list easier AND promotes your emotional wellbeing? Getting organized!!! I know, not always fun but so rewarding!

(1) Make a List

Make a list of rooms in your home that need a little extra love like closets, kitchen cabinets, or your bathroom.

(2) Go For It! Purge. Purge. Purge.

Pick a room and just start purging! This will help you figure out what you don’t use anymore and what you need to help you stay organized. It’s amazing what cleaning does to your mental state.

(3) Make It Cute!

Here are a few storage bins to help you get organized and look good doing it. All from wicker baskets, clear organizing containers and don’t forget the cute labels to go with them!

(4) Give Back & Donate!

I’m sure you have a giveaway pile of everything you haven’t used in a few months or years… look to see who you can donate to or might need it in this time of uncertainty.

Yay, now your home is organized and clean!! It’s time for the fun stuff, here are a few things to help your home feel extra cozy!

Add Some Greenery To Your Interiors

Boost your mood with some plants! Greenery (faux or real) plants in general, fresh flowers - anything that resembles the feeling of being outside or the happiness that spring brings!

There are local flower shops still open who deliver, nurseries you can pick up from while still being safe or the next time you go to the grocery store select a few bundles of flowers to make a beautiful bouquet at home!!

Here are a few of my favorite local DFW nurseries:

Set The Mood.

Candles, talk about mood setter... Not only are candles great for making your home feel more inviting but they are also decorative!

Layer. Layer. Layer.

Layer them on top of your coffee table books next to the new bouquet you created and boom, you have a beautiful coffee table arrangement!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Get Comfy With Pillows!

Pillows are a great way to add character and not break the bank, while also creating a huge impact on your emotional wellbeing!!

Rather you want to change the vibe of your space by either adding color, texture or keep it neutral and serene keep in mind to mix your patterns. For example, if you have a busy pattern layer it with either a solid pillow that has texture or minimal pattern. Also, mixing the scale of pillows up – 22 x 22 / 20 x 20 and 14 x 20 lumbar pair well.

Focus on Your Emotional Wellbeing

With everything going on right now, I hope this gives you some joy and motivation to help freshen up your home and give it some cozy vibes. It doesn’t have to take much but adding the small touches makes all the difference in your mood. Turn on a Spotify playlist, pour a glass of wine and treat yourself to something above because you deserve it!

Stay positive my friends, we will make it through this together.
